Sensei Charles Axiak, is not just a member of the B’Kara Karate Club,
but also a National Karate judge who helps out during the National Championships.

Sensei Charles Axiak began training Karate back in 1982 with the Malta Karate Association. His first karate mentors where Sensei John Tonna and Sensei Jack Grech. Sensei Charles Axiak continued practicing Shotokan Karate, and by 1984 had achieved the 5th  Kyu level under the tuition of Sensei Colin Williams, before migrating to Australia with his family.

In 2008, Sensei Charles Axiak returned back to Malta, and recommenced his karate training at B’Kara Karate Club, under the guidance and instruction of Sensei Anthony Zammit. Although Sensei Charles was absence from training Karate for a good number of years, he did not let it set him back, and with effort, he succeeded to further his Karate level. Sensei Charles Axiak has not only reached the Black Belt mark, but has progressed further and, in 2018, reaching the grade of 3rd  Dan.

Sensei Charles Axiak kept the spirit of Karate alive by practicing at B’Kara Karate Club, as well as by seeking knowledge and experience from various other International Karate Sensei. In 2018, Sensei Charles Axiak also travelled to Okinawa to experience Karate at its core birthplace.
